Greater Raleigh Sports Council Membership
When people think about the Triangle, they also think of sports. In fact, sports have played a significant role in our region's culture—from the NHL Carolina Hurricanes to NC State basketball to youth football.
Recognizing that sports provide more than enjoyment to area fans, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce founded an independent program, the Greater Raleigh Sports Council, in 1998 to foster Wake County's sports-related economic development activities.
The Greater Raleigh Sports Council supports efforts to bring youth, collegiate, amateur, and professional sporting events to the region. Its primary goal is to improve our quality of life by expanding sports and recreational activities. From its well-regarded Evening of Champions awards dinner to its quarterly meetings, the Greater Raleigh Sports Council provides members with fun—and educational—opportunities throughout the year.
